BRANNICK CELLARS
Sustainable Enology Project Integrated Into
The Mare Pasture Community
BRANNICK CELLARS
Brannick Cellars is an enology project and wine production facility designed to be financially self-sustaining as well as an integral part of The Mare Pasture. The winery and vineyard will be the cornerstone of The Mare Pasture’s focus on small scale, sustainable agriculture and agritourism.
Arizona wines have been praised by Robert Parker, the Wine Spectator, and the Wine Enthusiast and have been served at the White House and at prestigious James Beard House dinners. Spanish tempranillo and graciano thrive here, as do traditional Rhone grapes like syrah, grenache, mourvedre. Italian varieties like sangiovese, aglianico, nebbiolo and Bordeaux varieties cabernet sauvignon, petit verdot and chardonnay are also represented.
Brannick Cellars will be one of the first modules built on the property. A state-of-the-art wine facility designed with practical input from experienced California winemakers, the production building will include a wine cellar, laboratory, offices, conference/meeting rooms, and a tasting room. Exterior facilities will include a covered crush pad and shaded outdoor dining/entertaining areas.
Guest facilities at Brannick Cellars will be spacious enough to host regional winegrower events and activities. A conference room will provide a central, convenient location for local winegrower alliance board meetings and other industry gatherings. The winery will also host an educational guest center and plans to lead the region in viticultural science with industry research and courses sponsored by the Brannick Institute.
