MARE PASTURE RECREATION
Many opportunities exist for recreation at The Mare Pasture for residents and visitors alike.
Hiking and horseback riding trails extend throughout Red Wing Ranch and into the Chiricahua Mountains. The trails can also be used for mountain biking, which has become a popular destination sport in Arizona. Scenic trails attract mountain biking enthusiasts from all over the state and beyond.
The Equestrian Center offers riding lessons and guided horseback rides. The Lodge pool can be used for swimming laps, swim lessons, water exercise, water therapy, and water yoga.
The K-12 Educational Center is the perfect place to host Scout and 4-H activities, afterschool events, and kids’ game-and-pizza nights. The K-12 game fields can be used for soccer, football, and team Frisbee.
Mare Pasture’s curving footpaths encourage walking and bicycle cruising to retail centers, offices, and around neighborhoods. Foot and bicycle paths wind past the winery and vineyards, a blackbird pond, and through the Mare Pasture’s orchards and community gardens.
The winery tasting room offers guided wine tastings and hosts winemaker dinners, local wine festivals, and charity wine auctions.
The Lodge @ Red Wing Ranch offers a fine dining experience with a choice of indoor or outdoor poolside seating. The lodge also offers a spa and yoga pavilion.
Brannick College will offer courses in nature photography, enology, creative writing, theater, and music.
BR Farms and BR Orchards welcome volunteers to help clean and harvest fruit and produce. Community gardens also create opportunities to volunteer and get some fresh produce with your fresh air and exercise.
